Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Bento Days: Photo Journal collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Your journal never leaves your device.

Entries, photos, amounts and the places where photos were taken are stored on your phone only. There is no account, no sync, and no server holding your journal — we cannot read it, and neither can anyone else.

The app asks for a few permissions so it can do its job. Everything they give access to stays local:

We do not collect personally identifiable information, so there is no personal data to access or correct.

Children’s Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not require account registration or request personal information from any users.

Location Data

Bento Days can note where a photo was taken, so you can see where a day happened. This is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it back off at any time in Settings.

The coordinates are stored with that entry on your device. They are not uploaded to us.

If you ask the app to show a place name instead of raw coordinates, only that photo’s coordinates are sent to your phone’s own map service to be turned into a name. Nothing else from your journal is sent.
